The Wine: Penley’s expression of an historical Australian wine classic. Respecting history but with a vivid, optimistic outlook into the future.
Shiraz(60%), Cabernet Sauvignon(40%)
This is a wine bursting out of the glass with fragrance. I can picture a big bunch of pink and purple flowers tied up with a strip of raspberry licorice. The palate is generous and juicy. Its creamy texture pushes my focus to a luscious cheesecake with a cherry swirl. So delicious and much to love.

Passion. Spontaneity. Soul. Just a few words that come to mind when we get ready to introduce our winemaker, Kate Goodman.
Kate is one of Australia's best contemporary winemakers. Wineries such as Wirra Wirra ( McLaren Vale), Tim Kanppstein (Clare Valley), Seppelt (Great Western), Punt Road (Yarra Valley) have all benefited from Kate's brilliance. There is no denial of talent and absolute harmony when it comes to Kate and the winery which we have witnessed each year since she started in 2016.
Her investment in us is what has fed their evolution into creating some spectacular contemporary varietals.
And with the addition of winemaker, Lauren Hansen, it's as though they have taken an almighty breath of fresh Coonawarra air and are totally inspired.
