This is the first time that Wine Australia and New Zealand Winegrowers have teamed up to run a tasting in the Netherlands. It’s a chance for you to refresh your knowledge of Australian and New Zealand wine, challenge your perceptions and discover new wines that are in-market and seeking distribution.

Part of the Aussie contingent is Lauren Langfield from South Australia’s Land of Tomorrow, a trailblazing winemaker with a passion for sustainability. Don't miss her McLaren Vale Touriga Nacional. You can also meet Chester Osborn, fourth-generation winemaker at d’Arenberg in McLaren Vale, and chat about foot treading, his work with 30 grape varieties and colourful shirts!

At the tasting, there will be 36 wineries seeking distribution in the Netherlands. The ‘new to market’ line-up includes alternative varieties from McLaren Vale, sparkling Shiraz, Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir and Eden Valley Riesling.

Masterclass presenters
Emma Symington MW
Emma Symington MW has worked in the wine trade for 18 years with previous roles including selling and buying wine. She is now Wine Australia’s Head of Education EMEA, organising and hosting a series of tastings, seminars and masterclasses to increase enthusiasm and knowledge in Australia’s wines and wine regions. After winning the Vintners' Cup and Vintners' Scholarship for the top WSET Diploma graduate in 2011, Emma embarked on the Master of Wine course, becoming an MW in 2015. A WSET-certified educator, Emma judges at several international wine competitions and won the Emerging Wine Writer category in the 2014 Louis Roederer Awards.
Stephen Jones
Stephen Jones is the Export Director for Wirra Wirra and Ashton Hills, two of Australia’s most admired wineries. Stephen has more than 15 years of experience driving strategic growth and product visibility for leading drinks industry companies. He has also appeared as a reputed wine judge for numerous international wine tasting competitions, namely The Drinks Business, CWSA & the Asian Wine Awards.
Toby Buck
Toby grew up on the Coleraine vineyard in Hawke’s Bay New Zealand, planting vines and making wines with his parents and brothers inside the country’s first legally protected grape-growing site. After visiting European wine and barrel makers in his teens, he continued to work in wine, completing two degrees in Art History, and finishing both his Master of Science and WSET Level 3 with distinction. This was followed by more technical wine study at some of the top producers in Chile, Argentina, France and Italy. Now based in Amsterdam, he writes a national wine column inside NZ showcasing regions, producers, and advances in technology, and is a contributor on JancisRobinson.com on Cabernet Sauvignon and regenerative viticulture. Last year, Toby became the first person from New Zealand or Australia to be admitted to the world's oldest wine guild - the 650-year Vintners Company in London - as a new member.
