Wine Description
The DD Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the two terroirs of DOWIE DOOLE. The cool slopes of the Dowie Vineyard gift the wine a more elegant spectrum of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. The Mediterranean Doole Vineyard offers darker, richer notes to the wine.
Each block in each vineyard is harvested, fermented and matured in oak separately. Finally, after 20 months of maturation, each barrel was tasted and carefully assessed before the final blend was assembled. Ensuring a balance of characters between the two terroirs of DOWIE DOOLE is maintained. The two vineyards combine their unique terroirs to produce a genuinely individual wine.

Winemaker's Bio
Chris Thomas became DOWIE DOOLE's Chief Winemaker in 2011. Over his winemaking career, he has gained a wealth of experience working for wineries, including Fox Creek and Serafino Wines in McLaren Vale also Domaine Changarnier in Burgundy.
Wine Australia acknowledged Chris' commitment and passion for Australian wine in 2019; he graduated from the Wine Australia Future Leaders Programme.
