Shiraz and McLaren Vale are synonymous; the region's climate and soils naturally enable this classic variety's rich, flavoursome expressions.
Fruit is sourced from the two DOWIE DOOLE terroirs, each vineyard contributing unique characters to the finished wine. The cool sandy slopes of the Dowie Vineyard offer lighter blue fruits and a fine tannin line. The rich soils and Mediterranean climate of the Doole Vineyard gift the wine with darker fruits and richness. Combined, the two terroirs of DOWIE DOOLE complement one another to craft a balanced wine showcasing the best hallmarks of McLaren Vale Shiraz.

Winemaker's Bio
Chris Thomas became DOWIE DOOLE's Chief Winemaker in 2011. Over his winemaking career, he has gained a wealth of experience working for wineries, including Fox Creek and Serafino Wines in McLaren Vale also Domaine Changarnier in Burgundy.
Wine Australia acknowledged Chris' commitment and passion for Australian wine in 2019; he graduated from the Wine Australia Future Leaders Programme.
