Dowie Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

Fruit is sourced from the Dowie Vineyard on the cool sandy slopes of the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. The cool nights of this subregion make it ideally suited to Chardonnay. This wine had seven months maturation on older French oak; after that, each barrel was tasted and selected based on showcasing a balance between; fruit, mouthfeel, texture and oak.

Chris Thomas became DOWIE DOOLE's Chief Winemaker in 2011. Over his winemaking career, he has gained a wealth of experience working for wineries, including Fox Creek and Serafino Wines in McLaren Vale also Domaine Changarnier in Burgundy. Wine Australia acknowledged Chris' commitment and passion for Australian wine in 2019; he graduated from the Wine Australia Future Leaders Programme.
