Wine Description
These four rows of irreplaceable vines are among the first cultivated in the Barossa Valley and some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world. Planted in 1847 by Ann Jacobs and saved from destruction by Ed Schild in 1984. Open fermented and matured in new, seasoned French oak for up to two years then held in bottle to further mature prior to release. The Moorooroo has an opulent style showing leather, spice and ripe cherries with dark chocolate tannins and subtle oak driving through the long finish. 2015, 2016 & 2017 vintages all rated 99points by James Halliday.
