Our dry-grown Semillon is from our Clare Valley's Watervale Vineyard: a pale straw yellow with a delicate green hue. Displaying an aromatic nose of white florals, lemon, and subtle French oak, leading to a palate alive with lemon grass, quince, citrus, and tropical fruit, complemented by a lemon pith texture. Balanced oak spice and creamy undertones harmonize with bright acidity for a refreshing, enduring finish.
Winemaker's Bio
Jarrad Steele, Chief Winemaker at Paulett Wines in South Australia’s Clare Valley, brings over 17 years of experience and a passion for letting the fruit speak for itself. He’s worked with top producers like Kilikanoon, Leasingham, and Napa Valley’s Chateau Montelena. His first Pauletts vintage included the 2019 Brielle Grenache, named after his daughter and made from old Watervale vines—his pick for Clare’s top Grenache site. In 2023, he received the Encouragement Award at the Canberra International Riesling Challenge. Jarrad continues Pauletts’ legacy of crafting outstanding regional wines, especially the internationally celebrated Clare Valley Rieslings.
