Wine Description
The 109 Reserve Shiraz honours Neil Paulett, the 109th winemaker to graduate from Adelaide University's Roseworthy College, capturing over 50 years of winemaking expertise. Deep red with a purple crimson hue, the nose is dominated by dark fruits such as satsuma plum and black cherry, complemented by underlying charry French oak, black olive, pepper, and aniseed. Full-bodied and concentrated, the palate mirrors the rich plum and black cherry flavors, with hints of liquorice and subtle spice. Fine, silky tannins provide structure, length, and texture, resulting in a powerful yet elegant wine that showcases the regional and varietal characteristics of Clare Valley.
