In this masterclass explore expertly curated Australian wine pairings with carefully selected Thai dishes, pairing two Australian wines with each course. Discover how flavours come together through shared exploration and enjoyment.

Masterclass presenter
Kati Vainionpää
Kati has worked in the wine trade for 17 years working in wine retail and wine education, educating a number of wine students from the beginners to advanced level. In her current role as Wine Australia’s Education Development Manager – Asia Pacific, Kati leads Australian Wine education activities across the diverse Asia Pacific markets. She is one of the key team members to develop and bring alive the globally known and award-winning ‘Australian Wine Discovered’ education platform.
Among other things, Kati supports global teams and activities by sharing her in-depth knowledge about Australian regions, varieties and wine community. Kati has completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits and holds the WSET Certified Educator Level 3 and Assessor Certificate.
Matt Deller MW
Matthew Deller MW is Chief Executive Officer of Wirra Wirra, Ashton Hills and Hahndorf Hill. Born in Australia but raised in New Zealand he became a Master of Wine while living in the USA and now calls Australia home again. He is a regular columnist for The Drinks Business, advisor to Napa Valley Wine Academy and member of The Golden Vines® Academy. Matt serves on the Board of the McLaren Vale Wine Region and the Wine Australia Joint Marketing Committee, and is a member of the Program Committee for the Masters of Wine Symposium Adelaide 2027. He is an internationally recognised wine judge and speaker.
Ms. Sariya Kampanathsanyakorn DIPWSET
Sariya Kampanathsanyakorn is a Wine Educator based in Bangkok, Thailand. She teaches WSET and Wine Scholar Guild classes for Wine & Spirit IQ. She is also a consultant for various restaurants and hotels to help establish their wine programs. Her clients range from small independent wine bars to large companies. With a background in Food Studies, Sariya also writes about food and wine for magazines and online sites. She is a university lecturer teaching gastronomy classes at Bangkok University. Believing that food and wine are art forms that are best enjoyed and shared, Sariya collaborates with Thai Airways International to host food and wine events. She is the first lady Echanson for the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Thailand. Sariya holds an M.A. in Food Studies from New York University. She is the first Thai to have received the WSET Diploma and the VIA Italian Ambassador. She is now studying to become a Master of Wine.
