Masterclass presenter
Kati Vainionpää
Kati has worked in the wine trade for 17 years working in wine retail and wine education, educating a number of wine students from the beginners to advanced level. In her current role as Wine Australia’s Education Development Manager – Asia Pacific, Kati leads Australian Wine education activities across the diverse Asia Pacific markets. She is one of the key team members to develop and bring alive the globally known and award-winning ‘Australian Wine Discovered’ education platform.
Among other things, Kati supports global teams and activities by sharing her in-depth knowledge about Australian regions, varieties and wine community. Kati has completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits and holds the WSET Certified Educator Level 3 and Assessor Certificate.
Ms Tram Tran
Tram Tran is currently working as a sommelier specialising in wine consultation and education. This year marks her tenth year in the wine and hospitality industry. Along her professional journey, she has been fortunate to achieve a number of milestones including achieving First Place at the Vietnam Best Sommelier Competition and the Best in Australian Wine award in 2014. In the same year, she also collaborated with Wine Australia to host masterclasses, tasting sessions, and promotional activities aimed at introducing and promoting Australian wines in the Vietnamese market.
