In this masterclass explore expertly curated Australian wine pairings with carefully selected Vietnamese dishes, pairing two Australian wines with each course. Discover how flavours come together through shared exploration and enjoyment.

Masterclass presenter
Kati Vainionpää
Kati has worked in the wine trade for 17 years working in wine retail and wine education, educating a number of wine students from the beginners to advanced level. In her current role as Wine Australia’s Education Development Manager – Asia Pacific, Kati leads Australian Wine education activities across the diverse Asia Pacific markets. She is one of the key team members to develop and bring alive the globally known and award-winning ‘Australian Wine Discovered’ education platform.
Among other things, Kati supports global teams and activities by sharing her in-depth knowledge about Australian regions, varieties and wine community. Kati has completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits and holds the WSET Certified Educator Level 3 and Assessor Certificate.
Ms. Lê Hoàng Khánh Vi
Lê Hoàng Khánh Vi is a passionate sommelier with over a decade of expertise in wine, blending academic excellence with professional accolades. Holding a WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines (2025) and a Master’s degree in Wine and Wine Tourism from the prestigious Universities of Bordeaux (France), Porto (Portugal), and Rovira i Virgili (Spain) - 2020. She placed as runner-up in the 2016 Best Sommelier French Wine Competition in Vietnam, ranked #10 in the 2023 All-Japan Best Sommelier Competition, and proudly represented Vietnam for the first time at the ASI World Best Sommelier Competition in Paris 2023.
As co-founder and Vice-President of the Vietnam Sommelier Association (VSA), the nation’s sole representative body, Lê Hoàng Khánh Vi advocates for the growth of wine culture and also serve as a lecturer at the Hoa Sen University (HSU) and University of Economics and Finance (UEF), Beverage Director and Head Sommelier at Nén Restaurants (Vietnam’s first Green Michelin Star), and owner of NOB - Natural Owl Bar (Vietnam's first Natural wine bar).
